SEMINAR AGENDA

Our seminar addresses the issues most pertinent to individuals in education, whether considering retirement within the next few years, having already reached the decision to retire or wishing to prepare well in advance. An informal, relaxed atmosphere allows delegates to share their thoughts and concerns amongst their peers realising that they are 'not alone' in facing this challenge.

The feedback from previous courses has been universally positive (please see testimonials) and most delegates attend on the basis of recommendation. Course numbers are restricted to ensure integration and interaction.

The one-day course addresses the following issues:

  • Paid work after retirement
  • Use of time
  • Changing status and relationships
  • Health
  • Annual Allowance and Lifetime Allowance
  • Retirement through ill health and redundancy
  • Improving retirement income
  • Maximising State Pension and other benefits
  • Teachers Pension Scheme and ongoing changes
  • Ensuring financial security in retirement
  • Actuarially Reduced Benefits
  • Premature retirement
  • Money Management and Budgeting
